Norman Hyne describes industry jargon with dictionary-like simplicity and guides you through the basics of oil drilling, where oil is located and why, how to read seismographs, and many other things. The book has photos and drawings throughout the book that help you get a better grasp of what is described. This book seems to be written as a classroom textbook, but I read it cover-to-cover.
