This book is a well-written study on geology. Starting with the different types of rocks and how they are formed, to geological formations, fossils and the like. Go to their website for a fantastic free study guide to accompany the book. This book includes evidence in observed history to back up theories of the young earth, biblical flood and post-flood activities such as stalactites that have formed under monuments built less than 200 years ago, fossilized bone from less than 50 years, and large canyons formed by recent floodwaters. This book is excellent in reporting how various dating methods work and the assumptions used to manipulate the results. Earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic activity, water currents...it's all here! In light of the recent devastation of the earthquake in South Asia, it is prudent to rediscover the potency of these things we call "natural disasters." Just one earthquake has caused so much damage; imagine how much more so with multiple earthquakes, floodwaters, and volcanic activity, just to touch the surface of what occurred during the great Flood of Noah.
