Safety in the Handling of Cryogenic Fluids (International Cryogenics Monograph Series)
Product Review `Very readable.an great book not only for beginners in cryogenics, but also for those who are experienced.' Professional Safety Product Description This is the first volume in 25 years to address the important safety problems concerning the handling of cryogenic fluids. Authors Frederick J. Edeskuty and Walter F. Stewart propose solutions to these problems and discuss the vital concerns that have arisen since the early 1970s particularly large scale handling. The authors provide tables and descriptions of existing codes and standards, describe the thermal behavior of cryogenic fluids, and discuss cool-down problems of large scale cyrogenic systems. Reader Reviews ...of the casual observer. A hundred apologies are in order for posting this mediocre review, but this otherwise most gracious host, Amazon.com, limits recommendations for add'l reading to its recorded inventory. This review plugs another article by the same author of Handling C Fluids. The distributor has as yet to offer Cryogenic Engineering in Nuclear Rocketry, but perhaps it might. Cryogenic Engineering in Nuclear Rocketry: a work in the early development of nuclear rocketry by Edeskuty and Hammel Perhaps a 3 star rating is too harsh and 4 stars could be fairer because the second-hand e-shops sometimes provide economical alternatives to expensive textbooks.
