I decided to buy this book due to the recommendation from one of my colleagues. At that time I was embarking on a new project called "Flexible plant condition monitoring system design" for one of our customers--a large local safety-critical chemical plant. I read carefully each chapter of this book, and I paid special attention to the design philosophy the authors present. This gave me a lot of inspirations during the entire design and implementation of this project, which turned out to be a great success.
